About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring that all equipment, facilities and systems are kept in safe, compliant and optimal condition. This position combines technical expertise with strong leadership to minimise downtime and support operational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and external contractors.
- Develop, implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
- Inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify and resolve issues.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimise downtime.
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Train and mentor team members to improve technical and safety skills.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals.
Required profile
- Advanced Technician Certificate, Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience on underground trucks and loaders, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of HVAC, hydraulics, electrical, RCS and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Budget management and resource allocation experience is an advantage.
