Country Head of Operations – Senior Leadership Role

About the role

The Country Head of Operations is responsible for leading the entire operations function across all product lines and asset classes within the country. Reporting to the executive committee, the role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, market rules and internal policies while delivering a high‑quality client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the country‑wide Operations service execution teams, setting goals and monitoring performance against Service Level Agreements.
• Develop, communicate and execute the Operations plan and roadmap, coordinating across multiple operational areas.
• Represent Operations at the Country Executive Committee and provide strategic input to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (Business Unit Heads, People & Culture, Trading Desks) and external parties (regulators, industry associations, clients).
• Investigate and resolve escalated issues that fall outside standard procedures, ensuring service continuity and regulatory compliance.
• Implement continuous monitoring dashboards, identify out‑of‑SLA trends and drive process improvements, automation and risk mitigation.
• Oversee budgeting, cost management and resource allocation for the Operations function.
• Identify and sponsor digitisation opportunities in collaboration with Business and IT teams.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in operations management within the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of leading large, matrixed teams and delivering results in a regulated environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives and external regulators.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on risk reduction and operational efficiency.
