Foreman, Auto Electrical

About the role

The Foreman, Auto Electrical will lead a crew of auto electricians, ensuring safe execution of maintenance on mining equipment. The role focuses on achieving equipment availability while adhering to health, safety, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise planned and breakdown maintenance on all auto electrical systems of various machines.
• Ensure works order compliance, prioritize workload, and drive equipment availability targets.
• Draw up daily reports on equipment conditions and manage parts ordering.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, and system upgrades for vehicles such as CAT and Hitachi trucks and excavators.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade Twelve certificate and Advanced Craft Certificate in Auto Electrical.
• Member of EIZ with at least 5 years’ experience in auto electrical maintenance on mining equipment.
• Computer literacy and excellent verbal and written English.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and good attendance.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Use of oscilloscopes and multimeters for component‑level troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting and repair of auto electrical systems.
• Experience with CAT trucks, Hitachi trucks and excavators.
