Country Sales Manager – Zambia

About the role

The Country Sales Manager will lead sales execution across Zambia, driving volume, distribution and visibility for a leading FMCG/Consumer Health brand. Reporting to regional leadership, you will manage distributor teams, retail relationships and a local sales force to meet ambitious growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure numeric and weighted distribution targets are achieved and identify new outlet opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key retailers and wholesalers, resolving stock, pricing and visibility issues.
• Submit weekly and monthly sales reports, track KPIs such as sales vs target, strike rate, outlet coverage and market intelligence.
• Lead, coach and supervise sales representatives, promoters and merchandisers, conducting daily route planning and performance reviews.
• Guarantee compliance with company policies, brand guidelines and SOPs, overseeing POSM execution and flagging pricing or counterfeit risks.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales experience in the FMCG or Consumer Health sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage distributor networks and retail outlets in Zambia.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving team performance.
• Excellent analytical ability to monitor KPIs and market trends.
